I have installed Wordpress and Gallery with Fantastico. When I uploaded a picture to Gallery no thumbnail was created. I searched the forums and from what I can understand I need function exec() or a higher level of php.

When I open the admin panel of Gallery and attempt to try to test settings of Imagemagick with the following path /usr/bin/ I get this message
"The path you entered is not a valid directory or is not accessible."

It is my understanding that Imagemagick is used to create the thumbnails for Gallery. Gallery seems to be quite useless without thumbnails.

Thank you for you time.

I believe exec() is disabled for security reasons. As for imagemagick, I think cPanel tells you where it lies.

I have Gallery installed on one of my own servers and it is configured to show thumbnails just as the OP requires. I just went and looked at my own PHP config and I have the exec function disabled and Gallery is working just fine. So that should not be an issue. Imagemagick is required to generate thumbnails in Gallery. Sorry I cannot tell you exactly where to find it on x10.

Well, I still can't seem to find the correct path then for Imagemagick. Whatever I try I still get the error when I try to "test settings" in Gallery. Does anyone know what the correct path is? Or what settings I need to get Gallery to create thumbnails?
