Gallery

Hi

I have a free hosting account with x10. I have installed the Gallery from Fantastico but the thumbnails do not show. Also, when I click on a sub-gallery, it is not taking me tothe sub-level.

I would appreciate any help on these issues.

Make sure only you can upload stuff. Otherwise it would be against the TOS.

The URl is http://www.digitaljit.x10hosting.com/mygallery/main.php

I have created 3 albums and the "Birthday Albums" has a thumbnail image but it does nto show. Also when I click on "Birthday Albums" the URL in my browser (IE and Opera) change to

http://www.digitaljit.x10hosting.com/mygallery/main.php/v/birthday/

but the screen does not...I mean I am not taken inside the album. This happens with the other two albums also.

Perhaps you have activated RewriteEnigne in a httacces file, i realy haven't use gallery, but i'm dowloading it now to see if i can help solve the problem

The thumbnails i'm not sure about,

But the URL is fine - it's another way of passing information to the server similar to index.php?page=birthday

In public_html/mygallery

look for a file called, "htaccess.txt", if you can find it rename it to ".htaccess"

If you cant find a file called "htaccess.txt", make a file called ".htaccess" and place the following in it

Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine On

Hi

I have added the lines as mentioned by Brandon in the .htaccess file but I am still not able to access my gallery.

FYI, when I first go my account a year back, I had used the Gallery and it used to show the thumbnails. I believe that was Gallery 1.x version.

Sorry to troube you all with this but a resolution will be highly appreciated by a novice like me.

Hello, any news? My gallery is still not working after doing what Brandon suggested. Just a thought....is Gallery script in Fantastico proper?

No this issue is not resolved yet. I will reinstall the gallery again and let you know.

I have reinstalled Gallery from Fantastico and am now able to see the thumbnails.
