I have a few games from Steam, not all of my games are from there though. Otherwise, I usually just play for fun on games. Too many people out there who don't enjoy glitching/getting shot in the heard repeatably.

I've got HL2:DM, CS:S, CS:CZ, CS, DOD:S, DOD, and a TF2 demo. Not competitive, I just play whenever I've got a break

I got Half Life 2 free on a promo a while ago, but to be honest I prefer buying a copy of the disk rather than through Steam, because I have a habit of forgetting my passwords...and there's no telling when Valve could disappear (I'm a pessimist lol =P).

But yeah you get my point ^^

You can still play your Valve games offline you know... you just have to make sure you back up your files, and I'm sure Valve will make an announcement if they did and if they had to shut down, and would probably give people's money back if they can or give them a free copy on disk of their game. If not, they'll probably allow people to torrent their games since they are shutting down.

I bought CSS a (long) while ago for about £15.
It was the best game I've ever bought! Not only do I really enjoy HL2 (which came with it) and CSS, but also the extras, demos and mods that came for free (I am a fan of the simple games like peggle and trackmania). It's also pretty cool to use the SDK to make your own CSS maps, though a steep learning curve.
I currently have 13 items in the games list - having paid for just one! Awesome!
(and no, I don't work for valve lol)

Have any of you guys tried Garry's Mod 10? It's probably one of the best Sandbox mod or only Sandbox mod out there. It's fun as heck!
