GD Image Support

X10 plans on supporting GD, to the best of my knowledge. The PHP is being recompiled and GD will be included. I don't know what the ETA is on this.

From what I can tell, GD is supported. I used to have problems with it but now it seems to work just fine. What are you trying to do with it?

There's definitely no GD on Stoli right now. Create a php file with this code:
and it will create a page that lists all modules compiled into the install of PHP, including GD. Just make sure that you do not keep the page somewhere on your site where it can easily be read by anyone as this is a security risk.

I don't think having avatars on the site will need GD. I imagine your upload script uses GD to
1) make sure it's a real image file
2) make sure it's the right size
3) (maybe) convert the image to a standard format (ie jpeg), but probably not.
If you know these things already, you can bypass using GD right now by uploading the avatars using FTP or CPanel into the directory (probably called "avatars") where you have your avatars.
