Getting errors!

I am getting error when I go to my forums! It says

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

I don't know why its happening! All I did was try to update it from 2.022 to 2.023 and it didn't work so I deleted the install files using ftp client! So now it won't come up again! What should I do! Don't want to lose everything on my forums!

Check the MySQL Database & User Settings in your config file.

I did! I made a new database with the settings from the config file! Now i get this error!

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not query config information

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1146 Table 'intertek_phpbb2.phpbb_config' doesn't exist

Oh!.. Just change the settings in your config file to use your existing DB & User.
