If you've visited the Google homepage today you would have noticed the mars logo:
mars06.gif

If you click on that logo it'll bring you to "Google Mars" (http://www.google.com/mars) where you can explore the surface of the planet or browse Regions, Mountains, Plains, Spacecraft, Canyons, Ridges, Stories, Dunes, and Craters. I've been fascinated with it for the past hour.

Yeah, found it this morning. Too bad it only shows a little section of mars.

Interesting implication of the Google maps web application to the satellite imagery of the Martian surface.

Edit: Oops.... This isn't Digg. My bad.

@sentient1080: Yeah, because there is only one section that they are displaying. I'm sure some day the whole planet (or at least most) will be viewable in an application similar to Google Earth.

Google has done this with the moon too: http://moon.google.com/

EDIT:AGH Brandon you beat me with the Google moon....
