Jagex don't allow hot-linking to images, so I put links to the images instead.

Looks like a pretty good improvement, but the graphics aren't going to be as good as World of Warcraft, it just won't happen.

It looks like all they did was add some textures and thats about it. I never really got into runescape I've played it before and I think I still have an account but It just doesnt seem like my type of game even though I love almost any games. I think it has to do with the fact that theres alot of really young people that play and I just dont fit in or something..

The games concept is good though and lost of people must like it because its very popular, but if they really want good graphics there going to have to make people download the game or even a partial download and not java which is what Im guessing they are using now.

Maybe I'll check the game out again It has been awhile maybe its better now.

Wow got boring the first month of release when i played it.
The best part of MMOs is when the game is released and everyone is just the same as you, wondering what the hell to do and explore!
Ahh those were the best times in Star Wars Galaxies!

They're smarter then that, you actually do download the game, but they just forget to mention that. There's a cache located somewhere on your disc.

That cache for the game is located in the Windows Folder I believe. It's pretty easy to find. Otherwise, one thing Jagex could really do is replace that MIDI music with MP3s. Those MIDIs are soo cheesy sounding, even on a sound card that can at least play MIDIs realistic sounding.

Hello,

Yes, RuneScape is Java based currently. I hate Java, it just never works ... ever. Even a simple hello world application won't work with Linux so I sort of don't use any Java applications or applets now.

The cache will be located in the Windows folder if you're a Windows user, the folder is called something like 'jagex_filestore32' I think. Linux users, it'll be in your home directory (/home/*username*/) in a folder called '.jagex_filestore32' I think.

I used to play runescape, but There isn't enough to do. If they make it so it's like WoW than I might play, but right now, it's boring.

A few extra textures aren't going to change that.

Also I hate the fact that they store junk (cache) on your computer. It really annoys me that after a year of not playing there is still ".jagex_cache..." on my hard drive. Even when I think I got rid of all of it, some more pops up in some odd location.

Runescape will never be anywhere near the quality of WoW. They'd have to make an entire new game. What they have now is pathetic.
