I usually don't post on forums until I have lurked long enough to get a feel for the culture- but since its required...

From late 2000 until this February I had a personal hiking website hosted by MSN. After they pulled the plug I tried to get it hosted by my ISP but it was near impossible to get it uploaded/updated.

So here I am. I have only 2 of the 20-25 pages completely rewritten & recoded so it will be a while until it's all done. It's ironic that I've been suspended for inactivity since I've I been updating it all week.

Later

David

I like hiking. But I don't go for the really tough climbs. Is your site focused on a particular geographical area?

We live in Vancouver BC so it's mostly BC, the Rockies & the Pacific Northwest

Awesome. I grew up in the Fraser Valley, so we've probably hiked a lot of the same spots. I've hiked in North Vancouver, Golden Ears and Garibaldi Parks, Manning Park, Squamish area, and also some hiking on the WestCoast Trail on Vancouver Island.

Looking forward to your site, be sure to post a link when you have it transferred.

I live in the Fraser Valley - While I've done my share of local hiking my site is more focused on the hikes with the best scenery/photos.

I was born & raised in Ontario Canada so I've done my share of hiking in the mid-west too (albeit in Canada). However the big mountains are all out west and that's what fuels my passion these days.

Ha, we've gone in opposite directions.

I grew up in Maple Ridge, but now live in Toronto. Are you familiar with Golden Ears Park? We used to live way up the only road that leads into the park, right by the south end of the park.
