I was looking for a free web host, I thought I would try x10Hosting. Seemed simple enough at the time. But it's been such a pain, I've given up and quite frankly cannot recommend it to anyone.

First problem occurred when I was signing up. I was at step 2, I type in a username and the site says an error occured, cannot check if username is taken or not. Reloaded the sign up page, ok it seems to work now.

Then I was at step 3, i wanted to go back to step 2, fix something up, but the site blanks those steps out and the link at the bottom of step 3 that says 'go back to step 2' did absolutely nothing.

Then at step 3, I tried entering a forum username and password. But for like 20 attempts, it said my password was invalid. And that was it. Did not say what was invalid about it. I tried many different passwords, nothing worked, thus could not complete the sign up. I finally was able to make a forum username by coming to the forum and signing up that way.

So I go back trying to sign up, finally it works now. Check my email, click on the validation, oh wait now I have to wait 10 minutes to complete validation cause your server is slow or something, ok fine no big deal.

I try to login. It asks me for my cPanel username, ok I type that in, nope, apparently it does not exist anymore. And it says if i have a ad enhanced version i have to sign in, but i dont i only have a ad free, but anyway all in all, I tried to make a simple web page, and it was as if I had to argue with this website, just seems too much trouble. I'll just use another free web host, there seems to be quite a bit out there. O well, hopefully you will improve your stuff, if not o well.

Sorry to hear that, but I never had any problems. I actually tried half a dozen different free webhosts that offered similar services and found this to be the best of all of them by far.

Agreed
And,
Did you even try consulting the staff for help?

Your complaining just to complain, doesn't sound like you tried to fix anything at all.

I think you shouldn't give up 1st, seriously, I did my registration smoothly..

The key is read the instruction and follow it slowly~ no rush.. seriously no rush.. There's a lot of input too.

o well the things that I'm scare off is the Term of Service only, I'm just afraid that I break it and got my account suspended. But so far I'm still Save :D

But I wish you luck out there, I'm sure there's a lot free web hosting that can suite you out there.. ;)

You have a very critical post for only having one post. You obviously have not tried to seek out help with your issues, which makes it hard to fix things for you.

If you check in on the forums from time to time, it's difficult to unintentionally break the TOS. Just read all the threads where people are complaining about how their accounts were suspended and don't do what they do. Heck, you probably don't even have to read the actual TOS to know the rules.

Don't host porn
Don't host files that you don't own
Don't use the server like you own it.

every webhost ive ever used, you could sumerise the tos down to those 3 things.

I red the tos at one point, sadley i couldn't tell you what was in it exactly. Just a bunch of mumbojumbo.

but as ive learned: trying once is not good at all. Ive been trying for 5 days now to make this php script work on my home computer, now im trying to get it working here.

[edit] i just looked the tos over, there missing something, here its in the Itunes tos, you can never tell when an mp3 will destroy the world:
"You also agree that you will not use these products for any purpose prohibited by United States law, including, without limitations, the development, design, manufacture or production of missiles, or nuclear, chemical or biological weapons. "

[edit2] you see, staying in there, youll figure out your problem... like i had bad get information... it was soo simple, yet i feel as dumb as a dell.
