Halo 1 for PC - Help!

Alright so I got Halo 1 for PC.. I've got 1 GB RAM, 128 MB nVidia FX5200, 2.6 GHz HT P4, and a monitor with a 60 Hz refresh rate (can go up to 85). Think Halo 1 will work? If not, what should I tweak/upgrade?

if its not you man need to upgrade that

Yeah I already have DX9 installed.. I should read up on when DX10 comes out

Yeah, Halo should work on that pc.

Btw, for the full benefit of DX10 (which is vista only), you'll need a DX10 graphics card. Nvida have already brought out their first DX10 cards, the 8800GT and 8800GTX. and Ati are going to bring out their offering sometime early next year. These are both very expensive at the minute though.

Haha well I just got Halo working.. even with all the lowest graphic settings, there is a decent amount of lag whenever there are a lot of enemies around. I should get myself a nice graphics card for this holiday season haha

Yeah. It works, but it doesn't look nice.
A good recommendation is to also update your drivers along with your DX9, and to get a new gfx card to make Halo play in all of it's glory.

It should work. My bro has a nVidia 5200 FX that came with his Sony Vaio. Now he has a new one thats a 7400 Go. It works much better. Halo is fun on the PC. Join my clan {WDT}.

Man, just fired up the Halo PC demo (have full game on xbox) and started some multiplayer. my god its fun!
