This is kind of a little off subject, but then again it kind of goes with the subject.

I'm not saying you all do this and not that anyone has done this here, but don't you hate how people that do not celebrate a certain thing get SO mad over when people talk about it? This is a little different, but for example, the Ten Commandments thing in Alabama (or what state?)... They wanted (and I think they did) to take it down because for some stupid reason like "it's not constitutional". This country [United States] was built upon Christianity for crying out loud. Although, I'm not saying we or I should convert everyone to Christians, but if you don't celebrate it doesn't mean you should take it away for those who do.

Thoughts?

Spam. :getlost:

I think you're right in a way and wrong in a way Chris.

Sure some people get mad when they are pestered with things regarding events they don't celebrate, but look at it this way. Don't Christians and Catholics get mad sometimes when Jewish people or Muslim or whoever do some of the things they do because thats what "goes" with their religion?

Take terrorists for example. Their God rewards them for killing fellow man and even killing themselves. When they kill one of us, they are doing as they see right. When we give presents at Christmas, we are doing what we see as right.

Agree? Disagree?

Well, that's stereotype. I don't get mad at Jews celebrating what they do, and I'm a Christian. The Christians that do that shouldn't, in my opinion.

That's totally different of what I'm talking about. I'm talking about specific celebrations or events. You're now talking about what they believe in.

Well, want to have a thread on this? Getting quite off topic, hehe.

i think what chris is trying to say is one should be allow to practise and celebrate their religion and festivals as long as it doesnt affect the other parties who dont, majority or not.

@ conor

i think "these people" twisted the truth in their religion for their own benefit and agenda. i dont think the majority of them believe that god will reward them for killing.
