Good idea, saves money. I cut my own hair, mind you Im going bit thin on top so I just shave it all to a grade one, I also cut my son's hair but he's only 3 and wants to look like daddy so its a grade three (at the moment because its winter) and my wife cuts her own hair but she's actually pretty good at it and changes her style and things.

General rule of thumb is 'if you ain't happy loosing it, don't mess with it' basically if you screw it up are you happy to shave it off LOL. Alternativly make sure you also have some cash and a hat, if you mess it up
1. Put on hat
2. Go to the nearest hairdressers and get them to sort it out (have a good excuse like you fell asleep on the sofa and little brother or sister had some scissors etc, to save face LOL)

good post dazz... i agree,

reason being is my hair doesnt neccessarily grow in the "length", just grows outta portion lol.. so i generallly need a quick trim.

it does save alot of money. barbers and hairdressers charge the full price for a trim... so i did a quick cut.. and wow... haha... i think it looks alright o.0 lol.

im also experiecing some hair loss (herid) .. mostly around the front or they call receding hair line?. but im starting to use a product called rogaine... its pretty... give it a shot.. might prevese the thinner top area and re-grow :)

I cut my hair all the time... I switch up lengths though... only problem is the back looks funky sometimes...
I like to mix people up by wearing it long in the summer and all most non existent in the winter...

I would never think of cutting my own hair, i do not trust myself enough and it is not that big of a hassle to go get one

After a hair dresser cut my ear I am very scared of going to them, almost as much as going to a dentist. But getting the same result at home is near imposible. Also my current stylist is great, he even shapes my fuzz(beard) and side burns.

Have you heard of the Flo-bee ^.^

I have a hairdresser whom I have complete confidence in to just let her be creative.. She's never let me down once.. I've cut my hair in the past.. but it was just a quick buzz nothin fancy..

In school, i was about to be busted having for "too" long hair (and it was only 1/4 forehead length!) ........ so I snuck into the toilet and snipped away with a pocket knife!

The haircut was miserable... but it kept me out of detension......

I just do some quick trims sometimes. Most of the time I just go to the hairdresser.

I tried to trim the sides a little and that turned out to be a bad idea, so I learned how to shave my own head shortly afterwards.

oh yes, I have indeed tried cutting my own hair. Very very bad idea on my part, almost as bad as when I tried bleaching my own hair... and that is why I am not a stylist. =D

ouch.... should of got them to give u a years FREE hairkut to compensate! :/ (with a different person of cause).

haha i wonder if theres a tutorial online somewhere that teaches how to cut your own hair..... but i agree... a quick trim is ok... gotta be careful though , coz u should easily achieve that "bowl" looking style
