Hi there! Someone else set up my x10 account, and I'm having a few problems getting everything to work. The main problem is with linking my hosting account to my forum account; whenever I enter my account username and click "Link Hosting Account," I get a notice that:

"The account specified is missing it's contact email address, this could be caused by one of two things: Either the account does not have a contact email address set, or our backend system has not updated yet. Updates to the backend occur every few hours."

And when I try to get into my x10 account, all I have standing is the index page:

Index of /

Name Last modified Size Description

Parent Directory 14-Nov-2007 00:38 -
folder.gif
cgi-bin/ 31-Aug-2007 00:31 -
folder.gif
rvadmin/ 08-Sep-2007 22:44 -

When I connect to it by FTP, the files are all apparently there.

I'm not new to ftp and hosting accounts, but my depth of understanding is pretty shallow.
Sure could use some help. TIA!

Derek

If you are using ad enhanced you must go into your cPanel and enter an email. To get to your cPanel type in yourdomain.com:2082

Thank you; that helped me get the website linked to the forum. I was missing that :2082 bit.

I believe I have it linked correctly now, but I am still getting the same appearance on the homepage:

For reference, this is:

osp.x10hosting.com

Thanks!

Go into your cPanel, and add shop.osp.x10hosting.com as an add-on domain with the folder "shop"

I managed to get the add-on domain created, but couldn't figure out how to create the folder "shop" using the cPanel despite dinking around with it for about an hour- so I created it manually using Filezilla. Now I get a different Index page:

Index of /

Name Last modified Size Description

[DIR] Parent Directory 20-Nov-2007 16:06 -
[DIR] cgi-bin/ 20-Nov-2007 15:28 -

And despite that my files are still there (according to Filezilla), I can't get any of them to come up from the site:

http://shop.osp.x10hosting.com/

What am I continuing to do wrong?
