Having trouble linking hosting account to forum account

I have followed the instructions to link the hosting account to forum account and I set the contact email information. The instructions say to wait a few hours. I have waited 12 hours but it still gives me an error saying that it could not pull the information from the back-end systems and to post a request for help in the forums.
