HELP! How do I set a default page? + does it support .php

Okay right now my site is supposed to start at index.php. Before I uploaded this one I had index.html and I deleted that one and put index.php. Even though index.html is deleted when I go to my site it still shows that file, like it hasn't updated yet? How long do you think it will take and what do I do to set index.php to the default web page?

EDIT: Nevermind, I had to clear my cookies and now it directs to index.php on its own.

Also, every once in a while it takes some time for changes made to your account to reflect on the live pages. When I was first setting up my site I would upload a new CSS file and have to wait a while before my website would reflect the changes. For the most part changes are almost immediate lately, but I'm sure it'll vary from time to time.

Umm, should be instant. Our servers do not cache pages.
