Hello,
i have .com and i have email with this domain
info@mydomain.com

and work fine but when i change the DNS to
ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com

The email not work and asked me to add this :

DNS Settings for Email Service
Change MX Records

You should use this option if your DNS is hosted elsewhere.
Add the following records to the DNS settings of theumbrella-group.com

* mydomain.com IN TXT ""v=spf1 exists:%{i}._spf.mailhostbox.com redirect=_spf.mailhostbox.com""
* 20110105._domainkey.mydomain.com IN TXT ""v=DKIM1; g=*; k=rsa; p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQCVihGCAV2jwIHfS1XX0BzmMbB3uglWfuOinp+/ xFuOBGrM9jYYdkyfy4SEDKNuOCOCMJZknlcjj13HjGqPDmkHZ8ovohoijN1E9i/xWxBUzLUE6Edh c/8IX5fKgC3qTOm9gE5GuP4QkrAhWAJFEhECWuepcc3tm0/iznzOiP+QSQIDAQAB""
* pop.mydomain.com IN CNAME pop.mailhostbox.com.
* imap.mydomain.com IN CNAME imap.mailhostbox.com.
* smtp.mydomain.com IN CNAME smtp.mailhostbox.com.
* webmail.mydomain.com IN CNAME webmail.mailhostbox.com.
* mydomain.com IN MX mx2.mailhostbox.com.
* mydomain.com IN MX mx1.mailhostbox.com.

** mydomain not the really domain
i don't want to share :)

So i contact the site where i brought the domain and answered me :

Dear Sir,

Please contact your current hosting provider for further assistance.

As you cannot use our mail service while using your host provider name
servers without adding some advanced MX records, which are out of our
support scope.

Best Regards,
Customer Support

So can you help me ?

You just need to use CPanel to change the MX records for your domain. The CNAME records you can add yourself too using the advanced DNS editor tool.

Hello,

Thanks for you The CNAME Added

But the MX not work i must add this :

  • mydomain.com IN MX mx2.mailhostbox.com.
  • mydomain.com IN MX mx1.mailhostbox.com.
i went to MX Entry and i just found :

Priority: ( it would be 100 )
Destination: ( i don't know what to add here - mx1.mailhostbox.com or mydomain.com )

and the TXT DKIM not accepted

i must add :

20110105._domainkey.mydomain.com IN TXT ""v=DKIM1; g=*; k=rsa; p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQCVihGCAV2jwIHfS1XX0BzmMbB3uglWfuOinp+/ xFuOBGrM9jYYdkyfy4SE6KNuOCOCMJZknlcjj13Hwhwrh78qPDmkHZ8ovohoijN1E9i/xWxBUzLUE6Edh c/8IX5fKgC3qTOm9gE5GuP4QkrAhWAJFEhECWuepcc3tm0/iwerOiP+QSQIDAtyy""

but when i add :

Invalid DNS record: Invalid name provided.

what i do ? :confused:

You have to add domainkey records using the EMail authentication tool of CPanel. They are difficult to manage and I've had problems when enabling domainkeys in the past, so you might want to omit this step and see if it works.

Either mydomain.com or mx.mydomain.com will work since you created a CNAME record for mx.mydomain.com which means that mx.mydomain.com is the same thing as mydomain.com

You must go to "Email Authentication" to manage domainkeys. The DNS tool is not meant for this type of record.

Another user had the same issue and said once domainkeys was enabled, you can use the advanced DNS editor to edit the domainkeys record. Could you try that?
