Help, me, please!

Hey guys... Well, I am trying to help my friend. He has a capture card, and it only saves as .mpg..... So, he wants to edit it in WMM, (Windows Movie Maker, duh, j/k), but, obviously, it only has sound. So, I need one of two things.... Free, please.


1. A mpg to WMV converter that WORKS, and is FREE.
or
2. A movie editor with all the stuff WMM has, but supports MPG, and is FREE


or, last, some way to add MPG support to WMM. Thanks guys.

Lol, its not for me.... Its for this kid that really doesn't know how to do anything with computers... Unless, you mean, use flash the program to do it...?
