Should you pay for help?
I think not why should we pay money for help?
We bought the product now we should get free support.
My policy at Open Support is you shouldn't pay for support.
People should be able to recieve free help.

What do you think?

Free or paying for help?

Why should we pay for help.
Theres no harm in helping someone for free.
I dont know why big companies ask for money.
I think it ridiculous XD
I remember when you had to pay for the hotline for setting up your router.
And in the end you spend more money than your router costs. And your router normanly still doesn't work or is unstable. XD

Depends.

What kind of help are you looking for?

A professional tutorial on kickass airbrushing in photoshop cs2? Program doesn't install and you aren't sure why? Your car doesn't start?

Some should be pay (kickass airbrushing in photoshop cs2), some should be free.

Most should be free though if you mean genuine help, if a program doesn't install or doesn't run, or doesn't operate properly.

Edit: Pulled the windows reference, not worth it and it was DOD (Dead On Departure)

if you want basic support, it should be free. installation and general configuration assisstant should not have to be paid for. extra help like livewire's example is more of a premium service because it's more specific and takes more time and effort.
