Help! still can't link to account

I've read everything I can find here in forums about "linking to user account", but nothing works for me. I can log onto forums alright and access my Cpanel, but everytime I try to go x10hosting, it says I first have to link to my account. So then I enter the account name (which is the same as my login name) and it tells me my account name does not exist. I've even tried just starting over from scratch and creating a new account, but it won't let me do that because it says I already have a hosting account and it says "use the account you have". Is there anyone reading this who has had the same problem and knows how to get around it?

No need to have multiple threads saying the same thing. Help will come when it comes. Please be patient.
(And to answer one question - there is no "work around" - it has to be linked for things to work properly )
