Help!!! Virus

Ok there is this virus on my comp, in C:\System Volume Information\.... but I have no clue where this folder is?? does anyone know?? When I run AVG, it won't delete the file so some help would be nice

Search on how to show system files/hidden files. Hopes it help. I would know I tried making a virus once.

I always have hidden files visible for this purpose, but there is no folder?? I don't know alot about viruses,but can one pretend its in a folder that doesn't exist

maybe if you are running xp, look under that specific user, or go to macafee.com, they have a free virus remover for one time lol

or just set your comp back to the day before you got the virus

system volume information IS a folder, its just hidden

a virus that avg CANT remove?! wow thats new
can you at least quarantine it?

LOL!! Thats exactly what I did, good ol system restore. Fixes everything

Right click-> Properties-> Show all Files..

Search Function
Also get CC Crap Cleaner, It may of spread info around everywhere, and could lead you to getting a virus again..

You might want to go into safe mode and do another scan, just to make sure. System restore doesnt always solve the problem, sometimes it hides it even worse.

Nope system restore worked, I scanned again it found the virus and allowed me to delete it.

Next time you wan't to know if that folder exists or not, make a shortcut to it. That always works.
