Help with adding ?name=

Hi, i'm really new here and i'm trying to make parsers for websites on my site. I need to make it so that the link can be like "http://tyler3o.elementfx.com/something.php?name=SOMETHING"

That something will be different each time someone uses it. How would i go about getting the stuff after the = in a php script?
