Help with domain names and CMSs

I'm sorry if this is a really stupid question, I'm rather new to database-using websites. If I install postnuke using Fantastico to my X10 subdomain and later buy a domain name for the site, will it still work with minimal moving around of things?

I hate to bump a thread, but this has vanished beneath all the suspension threads and I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out so I can get on with building my site.

I'm Sorryy.. I don't understand what you mean.. What do you mean by minimal moving around things?

If you mean changing a subdomain to domain.. All you have to do is ask us to change it or you can park your domain in Cpanel.. and there won't have to be any moving of any sort for your forum/site..
