help with ionCube?

Site error: the file /home/kato/public_html/install.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.


Hi, im very glad for the generous webspace but im having trouble installing a website template (for gaming) that i havent had to deal with before on others.

is what im trying to do not allowed?

can anyone help me figure out what im doing wrong? I did try to google it and searched for it on these forums as well with little success (mostly my inability to comprehend the techno babble

I would assume that this script is protected with ionCube. This means that the system administrators will have to install a script or protocol on the systems to allow the reading of ionCubed files. Understand that any ionCubed file means it's heavily encrypted, thus, the server can't read it and will identify it as a foreign object. After that, the ionCubed Script will tell you or anyone for that matter that the file can't be read without something that can understand what is encrypted into the file.

I've read a few threads and could of swore that IonCube was installed on the servers.
Due to recent updates, changes and events - it may have been disabled for some reason.

thx for the replies, anyway to get them enabled? Is there anyone i should get in touch with? Does upgrading to v2 fix this?
