quick question, is it possible for me to change my HOME DIRECTORY?

example from /home/buratski to /home/NEWNAME

It would have to be done by a staff member. That changes the cPanel user name. You would have to let me know what name you would like it changed to.

can you rename my CPanel user name from vickz to kids or if ever that it was not available just add any numeric value to my choosen name kids to let it available to me.
one more thing, if ever you will change my CPanel user name, the new name will be the current login name right?

Do you have 2 hosting accounts? Because I see your cPanel username as buratski.. Who owns the cPanel username of vickz?

Go login to cPanel and make sure it works, also you'll need to re-link your account to that.. Login to www.x10hosting.com/account using your forum login, and it should ask you to link a account

I tried to login in using my forum's login name but theres an error

it says...

An Error Has Occurred
Although you've logged in successfully, there was an error retrieving your account's hosting type from the backend system.

Please post on our forums to seek support on this issue.

I will try to fix that.. Your fourm account needs to be linked with your hosting account (kids), If I can't do it, i'll get it done by someone else. Also, can you login to http://board.x10hosting.com:2082 using kids and your password for hosting, or is it still not working.

its not working using "kids" as my user name and using my password

Okay, I changed the password for the account kids, and verified it worked.. I am going to PM you a password, and check into the other problem.

I am moving this to level 2 support so an admin can review this,..

Please link hosting account kids to forum account vickoy

Also, please "cp" the web files from /home/vickz/ to /home/kids as it did not copy them when I changed the username on request. User reports also mysql not having databases, I thought it would be as simple as changing the login name to the hosting account.. Learned a lesson the hard way.. Thanks!

I have linked the the accounts. You now have the MySQL DB issue.
