I just wanted to ask what are the restrictions of a free account. I intend to use my site for a blog so I'll have photos. Am I allowed to upload those?

If you are the copyright holder of those photos (or if the owner gave you permission to use them) or if those photos are in the public domain, yes you can upload them to your blog.

Attention because images that you find on Google, Flickr or whatever are not free to use. Try Wikipedia or Creative Commons if you wanna free pictures. And in that case I think you don't need to upload them to the server, but check it first
