After many attempts to use the ad links, I always ended up screwing up the site. Since the Advanced Plan text ad is pretty much a simple text ad, is it okay to just put it in the site disclaimer area?

Most likely not as x10hosting gets paid for having people click on the ads. Have you never wondered why free hosting companies normally put google adsense ads on their sites and users websites!
