I made an html file, and I can't figure out how to apply it onto my website. Like I don't want to use the site builders, I want my own thing. Anyone know how to do that?

You simply need to upload it to your public_html directory using the cPanel file manager. If you want the file to open automatically when people visit your site, it has to be named "index.html". (Well, that's a bit of a fib. It has to be named "index" the way the servers are set up by default, but the file extension - the part after the dot - can be something other than "html" when you need it to be. Worry about that later.) Make sure the file name - in fact, any file name you use on the web server - is all lower-case.

For other files you upload later, make sure there are no spaces, punctuation (other than the dot before the file extension) or special characters in the file names, and always use lower-case letters and numbers. Underscores ("_") and hyphens ("-") are OK, but almost anything else probably means something you don't expect it to mean, and things will break in weird ways.
