First of all, you should upgrade your PHP version to the "Intermediate" version. Please read this thread: http://forums.x10hosting.com/news-announcements/30267-important-php-changes-read-all-servers.html, to know how to do it.
Then, you can install PHPBB manually, or you can do it from Fantastico.
To do it from Fantastico go to cPanel > Fantastico De Luxe (Under software/services section). And then select what CMS/forum you'll like to install, in this case PHPBB2.
