how can upload a whole folder?

I don't believe that's possible, but there is an easy workaround which will achieve the same results.
First on your localhost archive the folder with ZIP.
Then upload the zipped folder to x10hosting and on the file manager click on the extract button.

Download an FTP client, drag it into the directory you want and it's there.

ipawnnoobs is right, you can do the same thing for downloading a bunch of files from your web directory to your computer.

2. Compress the folder, Upload it and extract the contents using cPanel's File Manager.

i agree if you are looking to use file manager through Cpanel use a program like winzip or winRAR to compress the files or folders to a .gz or .zip file upload it to the destination folder. once up click the file and the un compress that simple

The easiest way is to use an FTP program. You can find them pretty much anywhere.
I personally use FileZilla, you can find it at www.download.com
