How do I "CHMOD"?

Maybe I'ma blockhead and haven't bothered to search hard enough, but I'd like to know how to do it. I need to set a few documents and files to chmod 777 or something like that or else they won't work.

Either use a FTP client like FileZilla or use the ftp manager in your cPanel. With FileZilla you right click the file/folder and select "File Attributes" and then set the required settings.
