how do i find out the id and password for my ftp upload i need to put in my software

i cannot find the password and username i need to put in the software i am using to make webpages.
when i press publish it asks me to put the password, username, account name, ftp code
what should i put for those!?
could someone help me with this.

To upload through FTP use these details
servername or host name : ftp.yourdomain.com
username : your cpanel username
Password : your cpanel password

You have to upload the files to public_html folder
