Actually you do not run them. You configure the mysql or php files using it. I think...

If i am not correct, can someone correct me? im just trying to help him out. Hehe

PHPMyAdmin is a tool that was written in PHP to handle MySql databases over the internet.
So in your case..programs are not what phpMyAdmin does. But if you are looking at running SQL queries, then phpMyAdmin can DO that
