How long is the wait for a domain name?

I've been 'pending' a domain (zemita.net) for two weeks or so. How long does it usually take before it's ready?

None of the domains have been given out since November. I'm not sure what's going on.
Once the server maintenance has been completed and things get back to normal you might get it.
