My computer was expensive and it was amazing at first but now it's slow i sometimes think why i brought this junk is it doesn't last long...

I use an iMac 17" and all i do is watching applications bounce up and down all the time :(.

I shall be purchasing a MacBook in time though as i can't work with my current computer .

Like $700? its pretty beasty for what I paid. I custom build all my computers, so i get what I want without having to pay for what I dont and I get the best bang for my buck. I also do all the work on mine so I don't pay for that either. haha I hope to start a mini business while I'm still in school helping people with their computers.

You can build a good system for cheap, but I needed a laptop for work and classes, so I invested about 1200. Happy with it though.

I spent about $600. I also received an expensive ($300) monitor as a gift, bringing the total to about $900. Then I added some upgrades. Now, the monitor is about $200 and the other hardware is about $450.

So I guess its worth $650 or so.

My gaming computer is worth $2,500, and the other 4 computers in my house are worth $700 and lower. These are all computers I haven't upgraded after building, so these are final costs.

The cost of all of these computers combined is $4,100, and my networking gear on top of that, from every wireless card I've had to get, Ethernet cards, cables, router, and DSL modem adds $400 to it, so about $4,500 for all of my computers.

My router cost me $200, my Ethernet cables costed me another $80, an Ethernet card for PCI was $20, and some 108Mbps Super G MIMO with SRX cards for 2 computers cost me $100 total. Two of my faster computers that can handle internal Wireless cards got the wireless cards, my gaming computer is equiped with Gigabit Ethernet built-in, so it's set with 1000Mbps Ethernet. My slower computers have hardwiring to them, as Wireless kills the CPU at the speed my Wireless works at. My PS2 is hardwired as well to the router.

So yeah, a bit of extra jabble, but the total cost of everything comes out to be $4,500 for all of my computers, and only $2,500 for my gaming computer.

Mine is about 500$ dollar without the screen, mouse and etc. Though all of them add up to about 800$... still, it's a bit lame that the computer I got was a shop example, like those things you get to test in stores and whatnot.

Mine was a piddly $350-450 (I can't remember) desktop, but I'm very grateful I was able to get it. It gets the job done :D
