Hello everybody,
I'm new at x10hosting.com

But I've got already a problem.
I've seen that I can make a connection with my database from an extern site.
But now I'm looking after the host that it is. It isn't anymore 'localhost'. But I can't find what it is.
Can anyone help me...
Already thanks

Thomas

You need to contact them (the external db people), not x10hosting. There is no way that x10hosting can know. Also, you cannot have your servers connect to external servers from x10hosting. (security)

Sorry but maybe is my question not very clear.
I've got this on my account:
You can allow external web servers to access your MySQL databases by adding their domain name to the list of hosts that are able to access databases on your web site. localhost stands for the server that your site is currently on.

I've admit one, but now is my question how I can connect them?

So you want to allow an external site to access the x10hosting database you've set up?

The host connection is your site URL. You also need a mySQl connector if you are using a server.

what do you mean with a mySQl connector. Can you give an exemple and how do I have to instal it.
Do I have to instal it on the extern server or on the server of the database?

i've got a site on an extern site and one here, but i need the same database because they need info of each other that is in a database.
But i don't want to bring all info to one server because the other info is on a server from a friend but he is a little bit slow for everything.
But when I will change he will be angry to me, he have worked very long on it and he's very proud on it...

Add your site URL to be able to connect to your friend's cPanel in the allowed host and there you go.
