How to configure dns records?

I am new to this. When i register a domain from www.co.cc and tried to set the dns.
They asked to set the nameserver.I did, then they ask to configure records.
A,MX and CNAME. What are they.
How to configure them.

You do not need to do that if you already set the nameservers.

No. If you have set the nameservers to

ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com

Its enough. No need to edit your zone there.
