Go to KeepVid.com (http://www.keepvid.com/0, and copy and paste the URL from the address bar into the box and hit enter. Right click the download link, click save target and choose somewhere on your PC. Once it's done, rename it and add '.flv' onto its filename. You'll need an FLV player to watch this, I reccommend this one: http://www.martijndevisser.com/blog/flv-player/

Thats cool, I too was wondering since long how to download videos.
Can you tell me how to convert them back to avi.

If you use Firefox, you can get a plugin called 'DownloadHelper' which will allow you to download the file straight from YouTube.
