Hi,
I just signed up for a free hosting package, and so far everything went fairly well.. but now I can't install the coppermine photo gallery. I always get this error:

Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: Permission denied in /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/fantastico//includes/enc_installation_func.inc.php on line 194

ERROR! Your base directory must have write permissions for user to proceed
Can you please tell me what that means and how to fix it? I've never used any databases before, so I'm a complete newbie in that area.

Thanks in advance,
Leanne

u must change the permission of the files to 755 or 777, u can do that from ur ftp client or from ur controll panel -> file manager when u find the file right click on it then click on permission and select all the gaps then click change permission and it should work

After Corey gets the errors fixed might I suggest that you NOT use fantastico but upload the files manually through ftp. This way you will get the most recent copy of your software you want to use and avoid any errors that fantastico might create during the install process.
