There are two ways to insert ads in SMF (Simple Machines Forums). Both ways are really simple.
In both cases, you can add before the ad code <div align="center">, and after the code </div> to make it look nicer by centering the ad.

  1. Download the "Ad Management mod" that you can find by clicking HERE. Then go to the Administration center > Packages. Then go to "Download Packages", and upload the package you've just downloaded, put "Apply Mod" and then install it. After the install, in the "Configuration" menu, you'll find "Ad Management". Click there, then go to Add Ads, select a name for the Ad, put the JavaScript Ad code of your plan, and check the box that says "Display ads on every page right below the menu" (for the Corporate plan) or "Display ads on the bottom of the page" for the (Advanced plan), and click "Add" to finish inserting the Ad. After doing this, go to "Permissions" in the "Members" menu. Check all the boxes you've at the right, and where it says (Select a Permission), look for [Ad Management] > Enable Ads. That's it, you've the forum running with the ad code shown in all pages (not in the Admin section). You can find more info about the "Ad Management mod" in their website, by clicking HERE.
  2. Download the "Global Headers and Footers" mod that you can find by clicking HERE. Then go to the Administration center > Packages. Then go to "Download Packages", and upload the package you've just downloaded, put "Apply Mod" and then install it. After the install, in the "Configuration" menu, you'll find "Global Headers and Footers". Click there, and add the JavaScript code to the " Global Headers" (for the Corporate plan) or to the "Global Footers" (for the Advanced plan). That's it, ads will be displayed in all pages.

If you still can't insert the Ads, please post in the "Free Hosting" board.
If you need more help using SMF, you can go to SMF Helper by clicking HERE.

I would also like to add that for the SMF ads mod there is additional support here:

www.smfads.com

If you are trying to use the ad mod on a custom theme you will have to do a bit of manual editing to the custom theme template files in order to get it to work right. The ad mod just like any other SMF modification package only installs to the default theme. If you need more help with SMF you can always go to:
