How to place the ads in forum..

Ok, I hope not to terminated by x10Hosting, so I have already put ads on every pages I have, except the forum, now, I want to know, how to put the ads like thsi forum in my IPB 2.0? I want to put the ads in the banner, not on the top on under it, putting it besides the banner image will look must pro.

Please help me if you know, demo is in this forum.

I am asuming that it similar to phpBB .

There should probably be a header file somewhere in the directory, of your skin. I would suggest trying to place them into there.

Correct me if I am wrong

I know that Vbulletin has a mod that makes a new post after you've created a topic or after a certain amount of posts.

You goto your 'header' template in your skins, and you add the code at the top of it, or whereever you want the ad to go. You can sometimes tell what is where in the code, if you know what to look for.

P.S. It is nothing like phpBB, which I must remind you is a very bad forum!

I've never used IPB 2.0, but I can bet it's at least a little like IPB 1.3.1..
Find your HTML templates, and place it in the Global HTML Elements -> Board Header. You'll need to know some basic HTML for this. Try going here if you need help with the HTML: http://www.pageresource.com/

alright, i use IPB 2.1.7, so i'll help you here's what you need to do:

1. Login to ACP.
2. Click on the "Look and Feel" tab.
3. Click the dropdown of the default skin or the one you're trying to modify.
4. Click "Board Header and Footer"
5. Insert the correct code righ about below the user bar (that's what i usually do at least)
6. Enjoy your free hosting!

Can anyone help me here, I like to put the ads since it is in the TOS I must do so,but I also do not hope it will spoil my template. If x10 have some other ads mode would be good

If want another ad mode then switch across to the advanced plan and use the text link instead!
