how to restore www directory

I used to upload all my files to www directory and what I can see is that public_html will automatically have a copy. But recently I accidentally deleted my www directory. Later I recreated it but the new www folder has no longer the ability to automatically synchronize the files to public_html. Could anybody tell me how to restore that ability? Thanks!

You cannot restore it (An Admin may be able to). The www directory is not important though, just upload your files to the public_html directory.
