how to set homepage

i am new to web hosting,i just need help from here ,

i upload all my website pages to public_html directory
now when i put my address in url to visit my website ,a index of all the pages is shown,

now what i want i want that only my home page is open when i put the url of my website how i do it.please help

For that you should name your home page as index.html or index.php if its in php.
I just tried your site and it shows invalid template
