How to turn on the File Uploads Setting / Internal Server Error

Hello, i kept on receiving Internal Server Error whenever I attempted to upload a joomla extension through the admin panel. Later, when I manually reinstalled Joomla (not using Fantastico), I noticed that the File Uploads Setting is turned off. how do i turn it on so that Joomla will function efficiently? thank you!

which PHP Version do you have? Version 2 should be able to sustain Joomla

I'm using PHP Version 5.2.5. I have changed my files to chmod 755, still no effect.

What diabolo means is, do you have the Intermediate PHP version or just Basic?

You can check which version you have by going to the Account Panel at http://x10hosting.com/account It'll be either Basic, Intermediate or Advanced.
