The only thing I dont like is the "onboard" stuff. They both look real good. I see there is no pci express on these boards. I`m not totally convinced that pci express is the way to go anyway. But the first board looks good yes.

I like the first one best, but in either machine, I would double the memory. It can never hurt to have a gig in an Athlon 64 machine, and if you're going the cheaper road and getting a Sempron, 256 may not be enough for all the apps you want to run.

Memory for that board is rather cheap. I find the best prices on www.crucial.com . I got a gig chip from them for $115.

Did you set that up at Newegg or some other computer-building site?

It looks like a fairly good computer. Hope you have fun with it :)

lol my 3400+ owns you 2800+! -uhhh sorry just had to say that...
it's a decent computer, you can expect to get good performance off of it. i got mine for 700 dollars, mainly because of the procesor and grafix card.

First one also..but depending on the price of that 9250 you might want to ditch it)

If its going to cost you 50+ dollars I would go with something cheaper for standby duty, and then get a sapphire 9800 pro later.. its only 130 bucks right now and should only drop in proce, it uses the r360 core and we all know what that means ;)
