htaccess links

Hi i was just wondering does anyone have any idea of a way to pass a username and password within a link so say for instance

i have a directory on my site that has a htpasswd

and i wanted to have a link on another page that auto entered the username and password to that location

I don't think it's possible. You could use a form filling program on your computer, or a PHP login system.
