Why you want to eliminate them, they are useful, if you do some customization.For example do you like the situation when user clicks on a non existent page and get a error page by x10.You can create custom error page using .htaccess.

Sorry, I don't know any way to eliminate them, because it is apache(may be, I am not expert) which is creating them.
