Hi,
My Joomla site ask me to change the name of the htaccess.txt file to .htaccess (to make the url friendly to browsers) but when I make it the file disappear.
Is it common or I am doing something wrong?

Files that begin with a . are hidden. If you're using FTP you should be able to see it or look in your settings.

If you're using the file manager in cPanel there is an option somewhere to enable hidden files. I'm not sure where it is, if you can't find it do a search of the forums, people have explained how to turn it on before.
