http down frequently

i've checked the server status thread, so i realize http is down for everyone on absolut right now. but it seems it's down almost every ten minutes. i've only been here for about a week. is this something that happens frequently, or is this a temporary problem because of some server maintenance being done?

but it's closed now so i assumed it was no longer relevant. am i wrong?

It may be only you. I'm on the absolut server and it works excellent for me. My site loads fine too.

What have you been doing on you web site lately?

edit:// when i checked the server status thread it said http was down server wide. it seems to be working NOW, but again i noticed that it happens every few minutes. so i'm sure I'll be down again soon. (no offense to anyone. i realize this is a free service)

Sometimes I'm on straight away, and sometimes it takes me 30 seconds to connect to the server

(NOT DNS issues... its connecting to the server thats taking the time)

Okay, Enough. THEY know the servers are going up and down, hence all the work being done. Deal with it, it'll get better If you had been here for any amount of time, you'd know how it used to be and how it will be once again. Wait it out. Or, if uptime is an issue, then perhaps you should upgrade to a paid account type, where the servers are more stable.

Exactly! You are getting this service for free. Be patient and thankful for it.

hah i didnt realise i was on a server called "stoli" what a funny name -giggles to self-
well yeha stoli is having trouble and is up and down what it wants to be, so what, when its up its great, when its finished its the perfect service, viva le x10 i say

Not going to read through the posts in this thread since I'm sure I'd end up banning some people .

Since we upgraded Stoli & Absolut to Apache 2.2.6 and the newest cPanel we've been having issues with them(Mostly Stoli). We have an open support ticket with cPanel and we are active trying to solve the issue. I have opened a new server alert with what I'm currently doing.

We are aware of the problem and we are working on it.

Btw, I know what it's like to run a free service and get **** for it because i'm either not available 24/7 or people just dont like my rules; so no complaints here.

Please be patient and remember that if you are on a free hosting of x10, expect several server downtimes. If you do not like frequent downtime spend money and move to paid hosting.
