I really think x10 could be a little bit better about how they treat their users. I am grateful for them offering free hosting, and the uptime is pretty good. I think the service here in general is good-great on a scale from crap to excellent, being free a solid "great"! The only complaint I have is that they are quick to jump the gun when it comes to canceling accounts for minor infractions.

I can sorta understand if they find porn or stuff like that on your site, since they are hosting it for free- but to cancel someone without any warning because of a missing ad is a bit harsh. It isnt hard to accidentally delete some code when fiddling with the html on your site, or making other changes - and it isnt hard to not notice it yourself afterwards, so a little heads up in your email would be nice before they suspend you. The reason I am upset about it is because, not only is it a bit over-authoritative, but when they unsuspended my account I started getting all kinds of errors in my PHP forum. I cant even post anything in it now and I have to pretty much go through it and save everything and redo the whole damn thing from scratch again. I find the phpbb3 a lot more complicated, even though they say it is supposed to be more admin friendly- the older versions were so much easier.

We don't actually terminate accounts for no ads. They are just temporarily suspended for 4 days. And I am not sure why you should be facing the problem. Suspension doesn't affect anything, I repeat it absolutely affects nothing. If you could just post the problem, the staff will be able to resolve instead of you having to start from scratch again.

well I wouldnt think it would have caused the problem, but I can think of no other reason for it to have happened when I had no problem before it got suspended. The ad could have ONLY been gone for hours before it got suspended because I was posting in my forum only hours before I saw it was suspended- everything worked fine. I havent touched it, OTHER than adding the ad back to it since it has been unsuspended- and nothing I did would have even touched the PHP files. All I did was add the code to my home page html and publish it.

The reason I didnt post the problem is because I was under the impression that you dont offer any support for phpbb. I dont know what caused the problem, all I know is it was fine before it was suspended. I believe you that doing that shouldnt have caused any issues, because I believe you probably dont touch any of the files, you probably just redirect the url and block the user. But still, no problems before, problems now.
Edit:
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@nakou.pcriot.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Edit:
Normlly I would just think that is because of a temporary server issue, but because everything else is up, it leads me to think part of my php has been altered upon redirection.

I will go in and look, but everything was fine before I havent changed any permissions so it should all still be as it was. Thanks though, I will check it out.
Edit:
I just posted this at the phpbb forums, and it looks like a few people are having the same problem over the past few days. I dont get it, but I dont think it had anything to do with the hosting here. The guy before me with this problem is at godaddy.com, so I am sorry for insinuating it was a hosting fault. I guess if I cant get any assistance in fixing it I will just have to redo it all. Maybe saving the db will help- as long as it doesnt save the problem with it.
Edit:
ok, now I just got a new reply saying that it IS a hosting issue because it is a server error (which is why I thought it was to begin with).

Granted, it may be something within my own files, but I was told it could have happened if the host upgraded any php stuff. If they upgraded or changed anything, the files may be directing to an old destination.

Since your other post is about the same as this one I'm going to close this. There are responses in your other thread.
