Hi guys

I have read x10hosting is very good and professional service so I thought I could give it a go :p. I am confused after registering, though.

I have registered and got an account yesterday. I don't know what it means but in Server Status field (at bottom right hand side corner) it says "coming soon". Does it mean my account is still not ready to use? It's been like 1 day now.

I tried also to upload some example files at http://www.ziko.pcriot.com/2082 but after giving the same login and password as I need to login into cPanel it says login failed.

I am not sure, whether I need to wait for the server status to change or submit the ticket.

Regards

hi zikoweb

the comming soon! message i guess is seen by all of us in the account panel

if you just want some starting point as an example file you may want to upload a file called index.html (like the one you allready seem to have deleted), this would be the first file/page a visitor of http://www.ziko.pcriot.com/ would see

you can use one of the file managers in cpanel in example to do that

hope this got you started ;-)

Thanks Joshua for this answer.

I genuinely cannot see any file manager in "x10hosating Account Management System". I may incorrectly assume it's cPanel >.<. Anyway, where can I find this file manager. I have logged into cPanel but what I can see to be honest are:
* The horizontal menu with general links
* Account information
* Account options
* Support options
* Server status

I cannot find anything by which I could upload files

I know it sounds silly but I cannot find myself here :p

Kind regards

on the right side you see some sections, take a look at the screeny attached (the red circle is two filemanagers) ;)

Edit: sure there's more ways to upload content but if you are just experimenting these might be the easiest

This is what I am available to see on first attached image. The second is what i believe the login screen to cPanel. I have no access to this. I tried to put the same login and password as to Acount Manager and I always fail.

I tried to use external FTP client putting my domain:

ftp.ziko.pcriot.com

and using the same login and password as for access to account manager and I also failed.

Well, I am pretty much clueless.

I have opened yesterday or before yesterday the ticked but I am afraid I was ignored.

Anyway thanks for trying to help me.

to login to cpanel you cannot use the same login as in the account manager wich uses the forum login

you need the name and password used at signup for the !hosting account! to get to cpanel and ftp access, if you don t remember these details you can change that password in the acount panel using the "change cpanel password" link on the right, you do need to know the correct answer to the security question there though

support tickets go into a big que and you ll have to wait your turn to be helped (bumping that message sends you to the back of the line again .. so i would not advise to do that)
i think staff is doing their best to work through support tickets but they can be very busy solving problems, be patient in that case;)

Edit: oooh uuhm and you re welcome ;-))
Edit2: before trying to change the password i ld try checking your email, you should have an email confirming your hosting account creation with all the details in it... if you can t see it check your spam folders

There were 2 questions about login and name, indeed :nuts: I don't remember password but fortunately i remember secret answer. Is the loging to cPanel the same as part of my domain, i mean ziko in my case?

It's hard to be patient when nothing's working at all but i did not try to reopen the ticked again.

Hi,

I skimmed this thread so not sure if it was already explained. There are two separate panels, one to actually control your overall account with us, think of it is as a billing account... it let's you make changes and also handles suspensions, etc... (the account panel at http://x10hosting.com/login.php). Then there is cPanel which controls your actual hosting account, emails, ftp, etc...

I can tell you your cPanel user name is "ziko" and you should be logging in at http://ziko.pcriot.com:2082, if you need a password reset your best bet is to open a ticket with the subject as "Password Reset". While tickets are queued in the order they are received if a staff member has a short amount of time they will look for the easiest tickets to answer to get them out of the queue. A password reset is a quick fix.

now i am not sure what you mean to be honest

cpanel asks for a username (the name you used to open the hosting account for) and the password

still it would be best to find the email that contains the signup info (this would avoid you having to change the password) if you did not delete that email it should be in your emails or spamfolder

if you decide to change the password you ll receive a new email with the new login info

Edit: mean time Corey has made a post here and he knows better than any of us so forget what's in this post please .... lol
